Full Exploit and PAC bypass for A13 Processor with iOS 14.0.1 – by Luca Todesco

Full Exploit and PAC bypass

Last Updated on 2 years by admin

With recent posts, we confirmed that only iOS 14 supported jailbreaks are running on A9 / A9X devices. Which narrows down the list to below devices.

iPhone 6S / 6S Plus (2015), iPhone SE (2016), iPad Pro (1st gen), 5th gen iPad, iPad Air 2 / iPad Mini 4

This could change very soon as the checkra1n team is working on expanding the support towards newer processors like A10 / A10X. However, there is no much jailbreak news for the latest releases of iDevices which includes the latest processors, but with this news, there is still hope for A13 processors.

Changing the vibe with a tweet qwertyoruiopz released an especially exciting announcement a few hours back. It is all about a working exploit and a PAC bypass for iOS 14 devices. Exactly within one minute, he retweeted informing that the whole creation accidentally happened. And the process took 3 days of hard work to get from LPE (local privilege escalation) to a fully working exploit and a brand-new PAC bypass.

Exploit Compatibility

Right now, all we have is a chain of tweets and a screen capture if it. But this reveals information that made us all nervous.

Luca Todesco – Full Exploit and PAC bypass

By examining the post, we can identify that the exploit supports A13 processor equipped devices running iOS 14.0.1. Therefore, soon with the release of a new exploit and the PAC bypass below iPhones will be compatible.

iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone SE (2nd generation)

Future of the exploit and a PAC bypass

Most importantly, among the responses to Luca Todesco’s tweet, there were two questions raised. Which makes it important to discuss. Both tweets are from newly joined members which I have posted below.

Though we are in a lack of information, taking into consideration of the aforementioned factors, we could believe one of three things could happen.

  1. Todesco may release the exploit in partner with the best-known jailbreaks like unc0ver and Odyssey teams.
  2. qwertyoruiopz might have the exploit for further testing as it was accidentally created.
  3. He may also never let go of the 3days of hard work which got him to create an exploit and a PAC bypass. He could also continue the work until he creates his Jailbreak. His other tweet that mentions “been 3 days since i’ve left the house and feels like it’s been minutes since i started, gotta love hyperfocus” hints his interest in what he created. Which could lead to a bigger ending.
