People say building electronics is hard, sometimes the professionals say it takes more than 5 years to study on this subject. But if you follow a clear guide anyone should be able to create basic electronics.
Why need to convert your home heater to smart heater?
- Does not need to invest money on replacing the whole heater
- Save energy / conserve electricity
- Remote Access using smartphones
- Can be connected with other smart devices
- Voice command (Google voice control / Alexa voice control)
- Schedule auto power on-off times (up to 8 timers)
Basics that you need to know
- Existing Heater Wattage / AmpH
- The voltage of your domestic power line (110V or 220V)

Items to build the Smart Heater / Smart electric wall heaters
- Sonoff TH10 (around 10.10USD)
- Sonoff Temp Sensor-DS18B20 (around 8.2USD)
- 63A 2NO coil 50/60HZ Din rail Household ac modular contactor (around 9-12USD)- Should choose the correct voltage according to your domestic voltage and you may increase the 63A if your heater requires more current, refer to heater manual for more details

How to wire the devices for Smart Heater
Configure itead sonoff
eWe-link App Configuration guide is available at https://ewelink.coolkit.cc/?p=149 Once the configuration is complete make sure itead Sonoff firmware is up to date because old firmware can cause issues.
Once the setup is complete you can configure the itead Sonoff TH10 through your mobile using eWeLink app.
Now you should be able to operate the wifi heater using your mobile. Sonoff offline control while you are on the same network therefore even the internet is down you should be able to operate your device/ devices.
