Chromecast with Google TV just launched today, alongside with the Pixel Series of new mobiles. I was launched at the Google Launch Night a few hours back. The new release of the Chromecast with google TV includes a dedicated remote control. And comes bundled with many more features.
The price reported was $49.99, however, the best price available on eBay was nothing closer. If you are excited to purchase, it’s recommended to check at Google Stores. Availability in other countries could take a few months especially due to the COVID situation. As of now, it is unclear when the device will be available even in India.
Feature of Chromecast with Google TV

Apart from the key features shared the remote controller includes an accelerometer 7 Google Voice assistant with a dedicated microphone. Enabling Voice search for media.

In addition, Google confirms that the remote controller comes with an IR sensor to control the TV, soundbar, or receiver. However, some web reviews have shared that the controlling of the connected equipment is handed via the Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) feature. - The Remote is shipped with 2 AAA batteries.
What’s new in Chromecast 4k HDR with Google TV
Unlike in the previous google chromecast TV and Android TV Boxes, the updated Google TV is more into personalized features that cater to your taste. It also includes a watch list that allows adding movies/ shows from Phone, PC via Google Search. ‘Shalini’ during the google launch says you can never miss a movie name which you heard from a friend even while you are on the move. As it allows you to save the movie to your watch list from the mobile.
Also, as mentioned under features the YouTube TV is supported (where available) with unlimited YouTube’s DVR feature which lets you pause, rewind, and continue during the live stream.
Being said that the new Chromecast with Google TV seems to be a better replacement for the current market products like Roku box, Fire TV Stick 4K, Apple TV, and even their own previous make of Android TV Box.
