iOS 10.3.3 OTA Downgrade Script has been released for the iPhone 5s using checkm8. Matthew Pierson, also known as Matty @mosk_i in twitter and Matty in Reddit released this method. This is a new method to downgrade using checkm8 exploit.
Downgrade is popular in iOS jailbreaking to install jailbreakable older iOS versions. Normally, you need to backup/download SHSH Blobs while iOS is being signed. SHSH blobs can used to downgrade to older iOS versions that are no longer being signed by Apple. Apple doesn’t encourage downgrading to a previous version of iOS. Therefore, Apple stopped the signing of old iOS version within a short time once the new firmware version is released. Accordingly, Apple stopped signing iOS 10.3.3 two years ago. So, you cannot backup/download SHSH Blob with normal procedure.
But with this new downgrade Script method, it is again possible to downgrade to iOS 10.3.3.
Compatible devices
All A7 devices supported (except iPad4,6 model)
iPhone 5s (6,1 and 6,2 models), iPad Air (iPad4,1 iPad4,2 and iPad4,3 models) and iPad Mini 2 (iPad4,4 and iPad4,5 models)
How to downgrade iOS 10.3.3
*Before you downgrade, you should take a backup of your device.
*Downloaded Script files and unzipped them into a folder. Put the 10.3.3 ipsw into the same folder. Download Script from developer’s GitHub Page and iOS 10.3.3 iPSW according to the device from here.
*Keep Terminal window open, make sure you have the10.3.3 IPSW in the main directory where “prep.sh” and the other scripts are. Also, it should have at least 10 GB free on your SSD/HDD.
*Then run the script according to given below order.
“chmod +x *.sh”
“./install.sh”
“./prep.sh”
Place device into DFU Mode and connect to computer.
THIS SCRIPT MAY/WILL FAIL UP TO 40 TIMES. JUST KEEP TRYING.
“./pwn.sh”
“./restore.sh”
