Introducing Vieux tool for iOS downgrades using OTA Blobs

Matthew Pierson is introducing a new Vieux tool for iOS downgrading. He is also known as Matty / @mosk_i on twitter. Vieux is the fastest tool for OTA downgrade so far. It’s written in Python. Hence this is the OTA downgrade method, you don’t need SHSH blobs.

Previously he released iOS 10.3.3 OTA Downgrade Script for the iPhone 5s using checkm8. However, he no longer maintained that script and advised users to use VIEUX instead of the script.

Currently, Vieux support for downgrade following iOS versions and devices. More 32-bit devices support will be added soon. You can also run the “./vieux -l” to list all compatible devices and iOS versions.

Vieux Compatibility

*iOS 10.3.3 – iPhone 5s, iPad Air, iPad Mini (Not iPad 4,6)

iOS 8.4.1 – iPhone 5, iPhone 4s

iOS 6.1.3 – iPhone 4s

Downgrade iOS 10.3.3

Follow the given below instruction to downgrade iOS 10.3.3. Also, you can use same guide to downgrade iOS 8.4.1 or iOS 6.1.3.

Download the Vieux from Matty’s github page.
Run “pip3 install -r requirements.txt’ to install all dependencies
‘cd’ into the ‘Vieux’ folder that you either git cloned or downloaded
Run ‘./vieux -i “PATH/TO/.ipsw”‘ or, if that command doesn’t work, ‘python3 vieux -i “PATH/TO/.ipsw”‘
Connect your device in DFU mode if you have 64-bit device and run the tool or connect the device in Normal mode if you have a 32 Bit device and run the tool.
Once you downgrade to iOS 10.3.3, you can Jailbreak your iOS 10.3.3 devices with Meridian,G0blin, H3lix (32-bit), DoubleH3lix (64-bit.)
