Apple released an iOS 14.2 developer beta day following the iOS 14 public release. It has added few notable features of redesigned now playing music interface in Control Center with 14.2 beta 1. Also, iOS 14.2 beta 4 seeded with new wallpaper options, with both photorealistic and drawn art. Lastly, it has released the iOS 14.2 GM version to fix the ‘new iOS update’ bug.

Jailbreak iOS 14.2

No matter how many new features Apple adds, people are tempted to jailbreak iOS 14.2. Currently, there is no any semi-tethered or Untethered jailbreak for iOS 14.2 except Checkra1n. So, here we explain a trick to get Checkra1n Jailbreak for iOS 14.2 even if it is not available officially.

How to Jailbreak iOS 14.2 with Checkra1n

Download the latest version of the Checkra1n from the official site.

Extract the downloaded DMG file to the Applications folder on your Mac.

Launch the checkra1n app > select Checkra1n Options > check the “Allow untested iOS/iPadOS/tvOS versions” option. Thistrick lets you jailbreak iOS 14.2 and iPadOS 14.2 unofficially.

Optional – If you get  errors before this, go to the System Preferences app, select the Security & Privacy option, and choose “Open Anyway” followed by “Open.” Now enter your administrator password when prompted & run the checkra1n app.

Now connect your iPhone or iPad to the Mac while running Checkra1n. Then tap the Start button > OK > Next. Then go ahead with the instructions given in on-screen. It will put your device into DFU Mode.

 Checkra1n will start the process once it detects the device in DFU Mode. It will reboot your device a few times during the process.

Finally, you can see the process is finished and the Checkra1n app on your iOS 14.2 iPhone or iPad.

Launch the Checkra1n app & Tap Cydia. Install Cydia to complete the process.
