DirtyCow jailbreak is the Mac equivalent of Dirty Cow exploit (CVE-2022-46689) discovered by Ian Beer of Google Project Zero. Mainly, Dirty COW (Dirty copy-on-write) is a computer security bug in which all Linux-based operating systems were affected.
With these new extractions, some iOS and iPadOS systems are affected. The flaw was discovered by hackers to be the power to transform a file’s read-only mapping into a writable mapping. As a result users can experience Jailbreak features without actually jailbreaking the iPhone / iPad.

WDBFontOverwrite IPA
WDBFontOverwrite is the first tool to use the dirty copy-on-write kernel exploit. It can change the system fonts of iOS without a Jailbreak and supports version 16.1.2 and below. Furthermore, as the name indicates, WDBFontOverwrite automatically replaces fonts from its library.
WDB Font Overwrite offers access to nine fonts, including DejaVu Sans Condensed, DejaVu Serif, DejaVu Sans Mono, Go Regular, Go Mono, Fira Sans, Segoe UI, Comic Sans MS, and Choco Cooky. There’s a significant chance that the list will expand in the future to include more fonts. When you change the font, it affects all of the text in the system, and it will take effect after you respring.

How to Install Fonts using WDBFontOverwrite
The steps to install new fonts in the most recent version of WDBFontOverwrite.
- Download and install WDBFontOverwrite app using one of the above shared methods
- Select a font to download PoomSmart-EmojiFonts (Unicode 14.0 Fonts) or 18 fonts
- When the download completes, open WDBFontOverwrite
- Select “Import Custom SFUI.ttf”
- choose downloaded font from your iCloud
- Tap “Custom SFUI.ttf.” to add a custom font to WDBFontOverwrite
TrollLock (TrollLock Reborn)
Face ID lock on the Lock Screen is replaced with an animated one by TrollLock. The original TrollLock tweak inspired TrollLock Reborn. It supports iOS 15 – iOS 16.1.2. TrollLock Reborn just uses the MacDirtyCow exploit and doesn’t need CheckM8, a jailbreak, or anything else. This is sort of an iOS modification that actually works.

Installation Tip
Choose the third option in the TrollRock Reborn folder selection, “[email protected].” It should work in most cases. If it fails, reboot the iPhone and try again; if it’s still not working, choose another option.

Santander
Santander is a new iOS file manager that gives you access to the iOS file system as well as the ability to create files and folders, change file permissions, search for files, and more. Even though the project is still in its early stages of development, it already functions as a fully functional File Manager for iOS devices that supports iOS 16.2.1 and lower versions.
Although it is not as sophisticated as Filza File Manager, it is still a fantastic project in the development stage. A recent fork of Santander by Palera1n developer Mineek uses the Dirty Cow exploit to access the file system without a jailbreak.

FileSwitcherX
Another new tweak was recently added to MacDiryCow exploit. It is called FileSwitcherX. With the use of FileSwitcher you can make changes to default system sounds with NoJailbrek. FileSwitcherX supports iOS 14 – iOS 16.1.2.

VanishBar is another new add-on to the the DirtyCow tweaks collection by the developer Haxi0. With the use of VanishBar you hide the Status Bar when you want to.

“Probably because of asynchronous execution of the code when the button is tapped? You don’t know when the execution is done (perhaps the scrolling lag is the signal that the function returns, however this doesn’t work for me either). For me, I just keep pressing one of those buttons, until it lags (not responding when I tap the button), then you may press the respring button. This gets it a lot more chance to work for me 🙂
