NoCameraSound is a simple add-on that helps you stop the irritating shutter sound that pops with camera capture. It uses the MacDirtyCow bug and supports iOS 15.x-iOS 16.1.2. As tested, there is no need to jailbreak your iOS device to make use of this amazing add-on.

Although no jailbreaks have used the MacDirtyCow bug vulnerability, it appears to have recently been the target of numerous interesting hacks for changing iPhones and iPads. Security expert Ian Beer of Google Project Zero discovered it. Among the other advanced customization options, customizing system fonts and changing the glyph animation in Lock Screen’s Face ID can be interesting as well.

Camera Shutter Sound – Region Restrictions

In some regions, the camera shutter sound can be disabled without any tweaks. It is supported by iOS itself. Others, however, can enjoy the same functionality by using nocamerasound.

Also, it is important to keep in mind that we introduce these tweaks only for fun. We don’t intend to guide our followers to break any local laws. Therefore, it’s important to remember the local laws governing camera shutter sounds before continuing.

Let us know whether you enjoyed the tweak that was only possible because of the MacDirtyCow bug. Our comments section is always available to share your concerns.
