As promised developer @LinusHenze is going to open source the Fugu14 project on 21st October. A couple of weeks ago @LinusHenze demonstrated iOS 14.5.1 jailbreak on iPhone 12 Pro Max. Now, he updated the twitter account cover hinting this. So it seems Fugu Untethered iOS 14 Jailbreak will released very soon.

Fugu Jailbreak Compatibility
iOS Versions: It should be compatible with iOS 14.3 – iOS 14.5.1 jailbreak.
Note – Since it was patched with iOS 14.6 & iOS 14.7, you cannot jailbreak iOS 14.6, iOS 14.7, iOS 14.7.1 or iOS 14.8 with Fugu jailbreak. However, iOS 14 & lower versions support also can be added.
iOS devices: arm64e devices – iOS devices with A12 or later A series processor
iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max,
iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max
Note – According to the developer currently Fugu app does not work on arm 64 devices. (iPhone 5S – iPhone X) However it is possible to install untether via jailbreak tools like checkra1n, and some changes are required to add arm64 device support to the untether.
Why is Untether better?
The current jailbreak is more of a semi-untethered jailbreak. Even though your device can reboot, it needs to re-run the jailbreak app to function. The old, tethered jailbreaks would allow you to reboot your phone but needed a computer to reinitialize the jailbreak. But with untether you can reboot your iPhone or iPad, turn it off and back on without any issues. It will boot as it normally does & everything will work properly on your device. Untethered jailbreak is the most worthwhile. But is the most difficult to achieve. If @LinusHenze released iOS 14 untethered jailbreak, it would be a huge achievement. Also, other jailbreaks like Checkra1n, Unc0ver or Taurine can be converted to Untether instead of semi-untethered.
