Did you forget to check the CarPlay feature before you ordered your brand-new car? Do you still fond of the Apple CarPlay feature but you don’t need loose the original car infotainment system? If your answer is YES for the above questions, this is the right option for you.

There are aftermarket car heads that support Apple CarPlay. Even Sony has announced to release XAV-AX8000 shortly, however, all these branded units priced from $450 and some even cost around $1000. Which still comes with a 7-inch low-resolution display. Furthermore, installations of aftermarket head units may be complicated, which will require cutting few wires from the original wire harness. It is something that most of us don’t advice.

The option that we are introducing does not need any amendments except for a power line from the cigarette lighter port, which is also optional if you have enough backup power on the Android Tab that you are using as the smart display. In addition to the above features, the CarPlay Adapter is the cheapest option of getting Apple Car Play to your existing vehicle. It is affordable for anyone; in other words, you can have the car play if you save your Starbucks coffee money for one month.

If you have a spare Android Tab, that supports Android Version 5.0 or above the price can go down for less than $70. Since there is no physical mounting, you can even use your existing Tab — however, we advise to have a separate Tab which will be more convenient in the long run.
