For some reason, you don’t want to update to iOS 13.3.1?
Suppose you are on iOS 13.3 and you want to keep iOS 13.3 without updating to iOS 13.3.1. If you have a jailbroken iPhone, you have few jailbreak tweaks to block OTA updates. But if you want to block OTA updates without jailbreaking what you can do?
There are some methods that prevent OTA updates from working at all without rooting.
Why you need block iOS updates
If your iPhone is running at its best in its current version.
If you are waiting for a jailbreak for your current firmware
You may need to update after confirming that it is free from major bugs.
However, we found a safe method to block OTA updates. We tried out this method and can be recommended. This method works with Apple’s DNSCloak app.
Step guide to block OTA updates
Step 01 – Tap below link to Download DNSCloak app
Step 02 – Download iOS blocker txt file to your iOS 13.3 iPhone.
Step 03 – Open the DNSCloak app from your iPhone. Go to settings, Enable the Blacklist from logs. Once you enable this it will appear your iCloud driver and allow you to add the downloaded OTA block file. Tap to add it.
Step 04 – Now you need to type “Google” on the search bar. Tap the Google tab to connect, then tap “Use this server” button.
Step 05 – Wait a few seconds and tap “Stop using this server.”
Step 06 – Now go to device settings. Tap on “software update.” You will get the “unable to check update”. No more OTA updates. Make sure to keep auto VPN on.
