iPhone 12 Leaks – Rumors USB Type C to Lightning Cable

iPhone 12 Leaks

Last Updated on 2 years by admin

The latest updates on iPhone 12 rumors suggest that Apple’s new release of the iPhone will include a lightning cable with Type C port. Also, according to the leaked images, the cable comes with a braided fabric design.

Compared to the previous leak of rhodium-plated ruthenium charger cable, this looks less resistant to corrosion. However, the number of connectors match the previous leak.

Pros & Cons

The new cable design can also be used to facilitate fast charging in compatible iPhones by providing a 50 percent charge within 30 minutes. However, the strength and durability wise this may not be the best solution that Apple could offer for their customers. Even the current lightning cable with standard rubber-coating happens to have a high failure rate due to the tendency to fray from edges after a few months of use.

This is the 1st time that Apple is shipping out with a braided fabric cable for iPhones and iPads. Upto now only Mac Pro was offered with a similar cable.

Apple Planning on Cost Cutting

Also, further apple is planning on selling the power adopter separately which will most probably come in 20 watts. And according to multiple rumors, even the earpods are planned to be sold separately. If this rumor comes true, Apple will save a lot from the packing and accessories budget. Which we are still not sure whether they will provide as a benefit for the customers or not.

However, the customers will have the freedom of choosing between Apple 20W power adopter or other bands depending on their choice. The same theory will match the Ear Pods as well.

If you like to try out the Type-C cable with your existing iDevice here are some links.
