Upgrading AltServer from 1.4.7 to 1.4.8
Usually, a beta version comes out first. However, this time the 1.4.8 update was released as a final version. Any MacOS Monterey user can directly use the update by accessing AltStore and selecting Check for Updates option.
If you haven’t tried out AltServer yet, then the latest update is available through the link – altserver download. Altserver mac and Windows both versions are available.
Why use AltServer?
One of the reasons is that jailbreakers who utilize side-loadable jailbreak applications like Odyssey, Taurine, and unc0ver have grown to rely on AltServer for app signing. Also, no matter the developer account is paid or free. It is supporting signing apps without an issue.
Though most of us use Alt Server for Jailbreaking, it can be used for signing any modified ipa file. Even the apps that are not allowed by AppStore can be used with the help of sideloading though AltServer.

What is AltServer and What is AltStore
AltServer is an application that sits on your Mac or Windows pc. It listens to incoming connections from AltStore.
AltStore installed on iPhone or iPad. It is just another app. However, it supports installing Apps out of Apple Store or any unsigned application.
