Windows phone were a long-gone memory for all of us; Nevertheless, Microsoft has come up with a plane to showcase their device differently. It’s actually the Microsoft Hardware with Google’s software. Now you might think only the windows logo relates to the distant memory of Windows, and maybe you are right.

As we know, iOS and Android never gave a chance to Windows to beat them. Windows kept itself always stuck in third place behind the said major mobile Operating Systems. Microsoft never had the opportunity to fire up consumers and app developers to mount an effective attack against its competitors.

But a few days back, Microsoft made an announcement about a foldable Windows Phone with two 5.6-inch displays working together interconnecting with a 360-degree hinge. Making it usable as a widescreen Tablet or a slightly beefy smartphone. It is somewhat comparable to the dual-screen smartphone, which is owned by Samsung ”Galaxy Fold.” Still, we cannot confirm whether the device will be the one that indispensable communication device that rules our lives.
Panos Panay, The Microsoft’s hardware chief made it clear to categorize the new phone/tablet wunderkind as specifically a “Surface Device,” in line with its years-long mission to combine all gadgets like the “Surface Pro 2-in-1s”, the “Surface Laptop,” and the newly announced “Surface Neo.”
With the Android OS on Microsoft Hardware, the Surface Duo gets full access to the 2.7 million apps on the Google Play Store, and that makes it unique this time. Finally, Microsoft decided that if you can’t beat ’em—join ’em. It seems like it’s the right decision. Microsoft Optimized Apps also will be available for the Duo, and it will not be an issue as MS even owns lots of apps.

During the 2019 October Surface event, Microsoft unveiled the Surface Duo will see the world in 2020.
