iOS 14.7 brings several useful new features. These features were added through the iOS 14.7 final version and beta versions. Also, it has fixed several bugs through the iOS 14.7 release.

  • MagSafe battery pack support – Apple introduced the on-the-go charging MagSafe battery pack for iPhone 12 models. Now the iOS 14.7 update adds support for the ‌MagSafe Battery Pack. As a result, it is able to view the charge level of the ‌MagSafe Battery Pack through the Batteries widget on the Home Screen or through the Today View on your iPhone.
  • HomePod Timer Management – iOS 14.7 added support to view and control timers set on the HomePod from the Home app. Just tap and hold on your HomePod to bring up the media controls. Scroll up to find a list of your current timers including their names, current time remaining & ability to pause, resume, or cancel. It is able to create new timers via the Home app as well.
  • Merging Apple Cards – Previously Apple introduced the Apple Card Family sharing with iOS 14.6 update. Now iOS 14.7 brings support to merging two Apple Cards. It can combine credit limits and share one co-owned account with an existing Apple Card user. Go to the Wallet app to initiate the account merging process.
  • Air Quality Index feature expands to more countries – iOS 14.7 brings the Air Quality feature in the iPhone Weather app to more regions in the Netherlands, France, Italy, Spain and Canada. The measurement of air quality is based on an Air Quality Index (AQI) that ranges from 0 to 500. A better air quality shown in lower numbers and unhealthy air quality shown in higher numbers. It is displayed in a colored bar within the Weather app as well as on Apple Maps.

Is it possible to jailbreak iOS 14.7?

Yes, you can jailbreak iOS 14.7 using Checkra1n Jailbreak tool. Currently, it is the only available jailbreak tool for iOS 14.7. According to the nature of Checkm8 exploit it exists on all A5 – A11 devices and cannot patch through software updates.
