About a month ago, Will Strafach (Guardian Firewall VPN founder and CEO) announced that nitoTV was working on getting VPN connections on the Jailbroken Apple TV for the very first time.
Usually, Apple will not allow VPN on AppleTV. Kevin Bradley, known as @nitoTV in the jailbreak community, said that “Apple has forbidden developers from providing VPN services to their Apple TV customers. However, those days will be coming to an end soon!” As a solution, it is require to jailbreak the tvOS to get full potential. Now there is checkra1n jailbreak available for tvOS 13 & 14. So, users can Jailbreak AppleTV using Checkra1n. Once you Jailbreak the Apple TV, it will enable the features of AirDropping files, VPN on AppleTV and a web browser on AppleTV.
Vpnd – Download VPN for Apple TV
Now this project, officially called vpnd & fully open sourced and available to download on GitHub. It is available for jailbreakers to configure a VPN connection on their own Apple TV. That is VPN daemon that can be utilized by nitoTV on jailbroken Apple TVs to deploy access to VPN connections on the platform. Already, it has updated jailbroken Apple TV to accept AirDroped mobileconfig files by nitoTV and Breezy. These tools will assist to install this.

However, they did not provide detailed step-by-step installation instructions. You can refer to Apple’s own Configuration Profile and Apple Configurator web pages. Also, advised as “This project is included as part of nitoTV, you do NOT need to build and install it manually unless you want to tweak the VPN code build and use manually at your own risk! working with NEVPNManager is a huge & finicky pain if you aren’t familiar with it.”
